Papillionaire Bicycles

Yes, due to our questionable stock management skills here at Papillionaire the Sommers –  Boston, Maya & Black are now all out of stock.  But butterfly bikes are never far away so stay tuned for details of the next shipment.  There may even be a new colour ;)  To ensure you don’t miss out, reserve yours now with a $50 deposit.  Thanks everyone for loving our bicycles as much as we do!

  2. Hi Lily, although the exact shade is yet to be confirmed we can now reveal that the new colour will be cream! If you would like to get an idea of how it will look check out the cream Classic model here. We are also taking backorders for cream so email info@papillionaire.com if you would like to reserve one.

  3. unsure about the upgraded seat and leather handgrips. What are the benefits???

    Joan Heywood • September 13, 2010 1:37 pm
  4. In terms of the grips – leather is obviously nicer than rubber (sorry vegans) – aesthetically and to touch. Both saddles are leather however the Papillionaire leather saddle is better quality, a softer leather, embossed with our logo and also aesthetically preferable. Hope this helps :)

  9. i tried looking for the shop during the week, are you near outpost?

    shen • October 13, 2010 12:49 am
  10. Yes, Our office is located in the same complex as Outpost but since we are an online business we don’t have a shop front. If you would like to see our bikes we do test ride sessions every Saturday from 11am to 1pm outside Outpost Cafe. Feel free to come visit us during the week by appointment…. in case we’re at lunch….

  12. I REALLY want a bike of yours. The Sommers.

I am being forced to ask a practical question by my husband – how much do they weigh. I guess really we want to know are they a re ‘heavier’ style or a ‘lighter’ weight style.

I want a red one with cream wheels, leather seat, basket, back rack, handle grips – all of it!!

    Love the look of them.

  13. Hi Phill, well yes, step through frames were traditionally designed to accommodate skirts but dammit, it’s the 12st century man! And if it makes you feel any better we do sell numerous step through frames to boys nowadays – especially the black.

  17. Hi, like Brooke, I’m interested to know the weight of the Sommer please?

    Thanks
    Olivia

  18. Our bikes are currently 16kg, but we are moving to chromoly frames for the next available shipment. Chromoly is lighter product than that currently being used. We do no yet have an exact weight on the new models…
